KITCHEN TREND REPORT: 2022 & BEYOND

26th July 2022 , 8 Comments

As interiors buffs, don’t we just LOVE to hate the word ‘trend’? How skittish, unsustainable, how influenced! Surely we’re all beyond such frivolity?! Yet ‘kitchen trends 2022’ or ‘fashionable paint colours‘ are somehow keyword gold. We’re Googling. We’re interested. When investing in our homes we want to get it right. Furthermore, if design trends were […]

Finding the ultimate neutral paint colour is arguably the holy grail of interior design. Clients and friends describe this as needle-in-a-haystack territory; there are just so many options to choose from. And, let's be honest, a flimsy little colour-card can only take you so far!

Finding the ultimate neutral paint colour – it’s arguably the holy grail of interior design. Clients and friends describe this as needle-in-a-haystack territory; there are just so many options to choose from. And, let’s be honest, a flimsy little colour-card can only take you so far! I’ve already written a post on how to choose […]

Unless you've been living on the moon, it's likely you're aware that leather is a HUGE trend right now. From raw hide to vegan leather (pleather) and everything in-between, there are some amazing pieces to bestow right now. Soft, smooth and buttery, textured or embossed, woven, plaited, gathered, studded - from the catwalk to interiors, we can't get enough of it!

You herd it here first, folks… From raw hide to vegan leather (and everything in-between), there really are some amazing pieces to discover. […]

One thing's for certain, home offices are now incredibly desirable. Somewhere that you can work productively and effectively, where you can Zoom with confidence, without the family's washing on display for all to see. With many of my friends on the move, they have shared their desire to find a home with a designated study. Somewhere where they can close the door at the end of the day to enforce that all important work-life balance.

2020 – the year of home. And yes, that’s my very positive spin on a, frankly, INSANE few months, which have been both astounding and catastrophic in equal measure. Never – EVER –  have we spent quite so much time at home. Even my first maternity leave in 2012, shrouded under a heavy cloak of sleep deprivation, […]

Summer Bathroom Styling: Some months ago, in the deepest, darkest depths of winter, I discussed creating a spa bathroom. A joyously cocooning sanctuary at home. My mindset shifts entirely once the clocks spring forward and the ankles appear. I want to be out, enjoying the world. This enthusiastic and immersive attitude manifests in several ways...

SUMMER BATHROOM STYLING AT HOME Some months ago, in the deepest, darkest depths of winter, I discussed creating a spa bathroom. A joyously cocooning sanctuary at home to while away the evenings. Blissful! Now I don’t know about you but my mindset shifts entirely once the clocks spring forward and the ankles appear. I want to […]

'Trend' is fast becoming a dirty word. Fickle and fanciful, it alludes to a fast-paced, throwaway approach - the antithesis of sustainability. With uncertain times ahead, the idea of the 'investment piece' is beginning to dominate our sartorial and interior design decisions with a 'make do and mend' mantra on its tail. All this aside, 2019's arguably hottest 'trend' - 'Mixed Materials' - is far from flighty.

MORE THAN A TREND: MIXED MATERIALS ‘Trend’ is fast becoming a dirty word. Fickle and fanciful, it alludes to a fast-paced, throwaway approach to design – the antithesis of fashionable term ‘sustainability’. With uncertain times ahead, the idea of the ‘investment piece’ is beginning to dominate our sartorial and interior design decisions with a ‘make […]
