'Trend' is fast becoming a dirty word. Fickle and fanciful, it alludes to a fast-paced, throwaway approach - the antithesis of sustainability. With uncertain times ahead, the idea of the 'investment piece' is beginning to dominate our sartorial and interior design decisions with a 'make do and mend' mantra on its tail. Inspiration was rife in Mykonos - from the hotel's relaxed Myconian/Ibizian aesthetic to the breathtakingly beautiful Elia Beach. Every evening we would meander along the idyllic pedestrianised streets of the Old Town, famous for its smooth, stoney paths, overhanging trees and sloping white-washed buildings. This is a very cool part of the world - with small, boutique galleries lining the cobbled streets and skilled artisans selling their bespoke pieces. Whilst design is key here, there is a distinctive less-is-more approach.
