What I would add to this, is that for a home office, easy-on-the-eye is preferable. This doesn't necessarily mean neutral (although I am a longstanding advocate) and it certainly doesn't mean drab. I just feel that a room intended for concentration and inspiration should be comfortable, visually. Not headache inducing or unhinging.
